2 years from the day {16/25}

Well, today is the two year mark since we moved from Florida and began life up here in “Sunny Cleveland”. I stumbled upon the blog entry from that time…interesting to note where we’ve come and gone since then. So, once again, the time machine is invaluable – we’re going to 2006!!!

 **************whoosh**************

So the fluctuation of emotions has finally subsided…we have arrived in frigid Cleveland, Ohio.  I forgot what it felt like to be in 20-degree weather!  Goodbyes were terribly difficult.  Mark and I were trying to figure if Abram and Sarai felt the same way when leaving Ur.  We’re sure they knew it was God who was moving them to “the promised land”, but were they sad to leave the place they established their roots?  I’m not saying that Ohio is the promised land, but we’re just trying to think it through. We’re so excited to see how God is going to use us…this certainly has been a time of prayer for both of us…I do love when God takes away your personal power to bring you to the point of saying, “Man, that was ALL God!”  That’s when He gets the glory…kind of like when we were driving up here on only 3 hours of sleep…13 hours into the trip, we were exhausted…It was ONLY GOD who got us safely into the driveway at 12:30 am!Tomorrow’s the first house-hunting day.  We’re excited to see where God wants us to live now.  It may be for a few years…or like this past move…only a few months.  It’s completely His decision.
We’re excited to meet new people, make friends, and delve into ministry…but we still miss ministry life in Florida.  It’s kind of like that old song, “Make new friends but keep the old, one is silver and the other gold.”
